I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism when I was 42 years old. I had gained 20 pounds over the previous 2 years, and was extremely fatigued. My doctor placed me on Synthroid and my symptoms improved for awhile but I never did get back to feeling like my old self. Over the next 10 years I struggled with episodes of fatigue. When my doctor didn't know what else to do he sent me to an endocrinologist. The endocrinologist tested me and told me I had Hashimoto's. He changed my medication back to the brand name Synthroid, but I didn't really feel any different. When I asked him why I was still tired, he didn't have an answer for me. When I asked him why I was still gaining weight despite the fact that I was eating 1000 to 1200 calories per day and working out 5 to 6 times a week, his only answer was to join Weight Watchers. I was so angry by the time I left that office that I vowed to never go back. So that's what led me to make the phone call. Last June I decided to give Dr. Branham a try. I had nothing to lose and everything to gain. He listened to me and tested me and he found the root cause, something which none of my medical physicians could do. Today I am 20 pounds lighter, have gone from a size 12 to a size 4/6 and I feel much better. I'm not quite a 100% back to normal, but I'm pretty darn close. Dr. Branham spent as much time with me as I needed. He explained all the lab results and helped me to change my diet.He is the first person who, I feel, has been able to explain Hashimoto's to me and who understands the disease. This has been a life changing experience... I have lost 40 inches overall.. I no longer have swollen ankles at the end of the day. I still have energy when I get home and I want to go places and do things. So to put it simply, I enjoy life again.
